About the artist

Hi, I’m Arpita Kar, founder of Indi Handicrafts. I created this workshop as a space for people to slow down, reconnect with creativity and experience the beauty of Indian folk art in a relaxed, beginner-friendly way. One of the things I love most about Madhubani art is its repetitive patterns and detailed linework, which naturally encourage focus, patience and presence while creating. For me, this workshop is not about perfection, but about enjoying the process of creating with intention and joy. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or simply looking for a mindful creative break, you’re warmly welcome here.
